Lemon Path (Sentiero dei Limoni)

The Sentiero dei Limoni is a gentle walk through the lemon terraces that have defined the Amalfi Coast's economy and identity for centuries. Connecting Maiori and Minori — two towns separated by a single headland — this ancient path runs at about 130 meters above sea level, weaving beneath pergolas heavy with the region's famous Sfusato Amalfitano lemons. These are not ordinary lemons: they can weigh half a kilo each, their rind is thick and fragrant, and they are the soul of limoncello, delizia al limone, and the coast's entire citrus culture. The path is paved with old stone and passes through working lemon gardens where nets are still strung to protect fruit from wind. Between the rows of trees you catch framed views of the sea below — small blue rectangles that appear and vanish as you walk. In spring the air is saturated with blossom scent. The walk is flat enough for families and takes under an hour. It is a sensory experience more than a physical challenge.

Start: from Maiori center, follow signs uphill to Torre Normanna (15 min). End: Minori center. Both towns on the SITA bus line and reachable by ferry (Apr-Oct).
