Praiano to Furore via coast

This walk between Praiano and Furore follows the dramatic coastline where the Amalfi Drive clings to cliffs and the landscape is at its most vertical. Starting from Marina di Praia — a tiny beach wedged into a fjord that houses the legendary Africana nightclub — the path climbs up to the road level and then follows a combination of old mule tracks and quieter sections parallel to the SS163. The terrain is rugged, with deep ravines cutting into the mountainside and ancient stone bridges spanning dry creek beds. Midway, you pass through one of the coast's most surreal landscapes: the terraced vineyards of Furore that cling to nearly vertical cliffs, producing the rare Furore Bianco wine from grapes that seem to defy gravity. The trail descends to the Fiordo di Furore — the coast's most dramatic geological feature, where a narrow gorge slices through the rock to a hidden beach. The bridge 30 meters above the fjord hosts the annual cliff diving championship. This walk packs maximum drama into a short distance.
